Futures Through Finance

2025

Ryex engineered a gamified financial literacy platform for high schoolers, featuring interactive learning tools and an accessible CMS for educators.

Futures Through Finance, a non-profit supported by Carnegie Young Scholars, required a digital platform to deliver financial literacy education to high school students in Washington, D.C. They needed an architecture that captured student attention while remaining fully manageable by their non-technical staff.

Drawing inspiration from platforms like Khan Academy, Ryex engineered a comprehensive interactive learning hub. We developed a custom gamification system featuring daily streaks, milestone achievements, and dynamic leaderboards to maximize student retention and build consistent study habits.

To support the platform's core infrastructure, we implemented a robust user authentication flow and automated email reminders that keep students engaged with the curriculum.

For content operations, we integrated Sanity as a headless CMS. This architecture empowered the organization's educators to instantly publish new financial lessons and blog posts without requiring any engineering support.

The resulting platform successfully modernized their educational delivery. It transformed traditional financial concepts into a highly scalable, interactive digital experience that actively drives student participation.
